personally...i can't stand them.. i grew up in the projects of NYC and when I see those guys with out a care in the world thinking they figured it all out...that arrogant and ignorant attitude really gets to me.  and i agree with the first asker...DUDE is a VERY annoying term

personally... i totally love 'em'. i can understand their lingo better than anything else out there. [its kinda stoner-ish, which i can relate to] plus their super sweet & super hot a lot of the time. haha.

They certainly are nice to look at.....

I am sure there are surfers who don't use the dumb lingo...perhaps you should be one of them.  A smart man with the body of a Greek God who can match my depth of knowledge of politics and sociology would be quite the catch.  I married one...minus the surfing!!

Not all surfers use the term dude or use those lingos those are all stereotypes I been a surfer my whole life, sure those words do slip, only because you hear it so much that it rubs off on you and so what about our care free attitude thats the main reason why a lot of us surf to get away from the hectic environment called "life" and I can assure you that there are more intellectual surfers out there than stupid stoner surfers.So don't dis a lifestyle that you know nothing about.

I guess they can be nice guys sometimes hehe.  I realli hate the long hair, looks kind of like a girls and it's really dirty!
