Girls who play tennis, do you prefer having a ponytail or have your hair cut short?

Question

When you are playing tennis, would you rather have your long hair in a pony tail or just get it cut so it's not in your way?

Right now I have long hair that I always have in a pony tail. I'm not sure if I should keep it that way or get it cut short for tennis. What do you think? Which is easier to deal with during tennis?

Leave your hair long. I have very long hair and I wouldn't cut it just to play tennis. Tie it back or do a plait ala Anna Kournikova

Ponytail!! I had short hair 3 times before. I didn't like it. As long as it doesn't make u too hot. Trust me, if u like ur long hair, u will regret ever cutting it short. I know I did. Just keep it in a ponytail, it's not a big deal.

Ponytail! Long hair is always sexier and a ponytail will keep all your hair out of your face. If you need it to be even more out of the way, consider braiding it. Think Anna Kournikova.

It's easier, well for me, to play with a ponytail. It eliminates all distractions and it's cooler (temp. wise) to keep your hair up.

Ponytail is much better. If you get your hair cut short, you might not like it. You'll have to wait for it to grow out... or get extensions. And it's just a big mess when you play tennis because it gets all over your face and is annoying. And in my opinion, when short hair gets all over your face along with sweat and oil, your face looks like someone just vomitted over it. Like tennisrox94 said, Kuznetsova's short hair is hideous.

Maria Sharapova has really long hair and she keeps it in a pony tail and bobby pins for her bangs. I do that too and have no problem =]

Short hair will just get in your face more and is harder to pull back then long hair. You'd have to use a lot of bobby pins to pin it out of your face which is both annoying and unattractive. Ponytails look better than a bunch of hair clips and are easier to do.

Short hair is harder to pull back, and trust me it will get in your way. So unless you are up for a buzz cut, short hair will just be unmanageable. Keep it long and pulled back.

Id rather have a ponytail. Unless you get a really really short hair cut, the hair will keep brushing against the back of your neck and i can imagine that getting very annoying, especially if you get really sweaty

Besides, I wouldnt decided my hair style just based on tennis. Do you think you'd look good with short hair? because you have to deal with it off the courts too :-)
