Okay so my period is very late. I've already taken two pregnancy tests thinking I could possibly be pregnant, both were negative.

I am on Alesse 28 and have stopped taking it, on the instructions it says the something to the affect of when you stop taking Alesse you will start your period and I have still not started it.

I also have a bladder infection, could that be affecting my period?

  1. Yes, it's possible that the bladder infection could have an affect on your period but it also sounds like this could be related to stopping the Alese (an example only).

Sometimes when one stops the pill it can cause the period to stop for a time before becoming regular again.  It can take the body up to 3 months to fully adjust to being off the medication.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
