Girly or casual? (1st day of 8th grade outfit)?

School's about 2 start. (this thursday!! NOOOOOO!!!!!!!) : P Anyways...last year i wore t-shirts and jeans most of the time. (it was very casual,boring,and blah!) This year im goin 2 b in 8th grade and i want a more feminine style that is still sporty and not too overly done. I kinda want my style like selena gomez. (i know, i dont want 2 b a biter but i love how her style just looks cute and feminine but can b 4 everyday wear) should i wear my new skirt on the first day or jeans with a girly tee w/ a vest?????? I dont want 2 show up completely different from last year but i want ppl 2 notice im more girly but still me. Will it b better 2 play it safe and wear jeans??? OR wear a skirt and just let ppl adjust 2 it??????? Also....what can i wear 2 get a selena gomez like style? not EXACTLY like the same outfits that she's worn but outfits that have a selena vibe 2 them. thnx 4 the help. : ) ****PLUS****** any1 got any cute hairstyles as well???? my hair is normal (not thick or thin) medium length (lil bit past my shoulders) and naturally wavy. thank u 4 the help.

ok so i think u should get a cute shirt from hot topic [they usually have really bright cute ones there]. then get a vest [[black preffered]] from forever 21. :D. next is skinny jeans [[dark blue]] at forever 21 for like $30.00. :). then get converse.

for the hair u can tell them to layer ur hair.

and get a straightener and straighten it :D

I wore a spaghetti strap under a shirt. (It can be a jersey.) Tie the shirt in the back, and tuck in the tail. Wear a skirt, make sure it's long enough to follow school rules, and leggings. (Black goes with anything.) Top that off with flip-flops, a tote bag (Abercrombie, Hollister, Etc.), and a ribbon in your hair. Your hair can either be in a pony tail or down, but a ribbon would be both feminine and sporty. (If you wanna be sporty, put your hair in a pony, then add a ribbon.)

What's also cute is a long-sleeved (bright colors or patterns) button-up blouse and a cami underneath. Let the cami show, so let two or three top buttons be loose. Top it off with long blue jeans and flip-flops. Let your hair down loose for this outfit, or do a half up and half down with a ribbon.

Bright colors always work.

Layering shirts is major cute.

Ribbons in your hair is always cute for pony tails, pig tails, braided pig tails, or half up and half down.

When you think something doesn't match when layering, try it on and look at yourself.

Get the point??? You don't have to be just girly or just sporty, you can mix them together.....

-A dress mixed with Grey jeans can make you girly.

-A frilly tank softens the sporty look.

-Adding a vest will help.

if it's your first day of 8th grade, go ahead, be brave, and reinvent yourself. but i, personally, hate skirts. i'd go with the jeans. ecspecially if you want to look like selena. have fun and enjoy 8th grade!

i think you should wear the skirt, a plain shirt wth like a normal neck and then a vest over it. wear dangly earrings, and converse for the selena vibe. also a little lip gloss, straighten your hair, and carry a tote instead of a backpack if you can.
