Girondins de Bordeaux youngster Andre wants to stay at the club – Ligue 1 news
Young Bordeaux forward Andre has expressed his desire to stay with the Ligue 1 club beyond the current campaign. The 20-year-old joined Les Girondins de Bordeaux from Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kiev on loan in the January transfer window. The youngster was
considered by Bordeaux as a player who was to propel the club to European qualification and the player also jumped at the chance to move away from Ukraine as he never settled there.
While talking to the media, the Brazilian said that he found it hard to settle in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 as he arrived from Santos where there is a lot of sunshine. “I come from Santos, on the coast, and I'm used to the sunshine. It was really tough when I first arrived
in Kiev. I had to try and adapt as best as I could and look for positives to this European adventure,” the youngster said.
Andre is a product of the Santos youth system and moved to Bordeaux after spending only seven months in Ukraine. The player said that he knew a lot about the French Ligue 1 before coming to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. Owing much to the presence of African players in France,
the game is much more physical when compared to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 and Ukraine. Many suggest that the youngster is running out of time to prove himself. The player has struggled to adapt to the rigours of the French game so far, but Andre insists that he has had a great
experience of football in France.
Andre has made only 8 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, starting the solitary game against league lagers Arles Avignon. Even though Andre hasn’t found the net for Bordeaux yet, Brazilian national team coach Mano Menezes is monitoring Andre’s progress. It
is believed that the youngster might be a part of the Brazilian squad for the 2014 World Cup.
His future at Bordeaux is still uncertain and unless the club triggers the 8 million-Euros buy-out clause in his contract, Andre will go back to his parent club Dynamo Kyiv after the end of the current campaign. The player himself is worried about his future
and admits that he would want to stay at Bordeaux. “I'm waiting impatiently for the end of the season because I think about my future every day. I don't know if I'll be returning to Ukraine or if I'll be staying in Bordeaux. Only God knows, but I'd like to
impose myself here and stay at Bordeaux,” said the 20-year-old.
