Reports in French and British media claim that Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, is keen on signing Olivier Giroud, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863, Loic Remy and Stephane Mbia from the Ligue 1 next summer
On pole position for the English National team http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, while talking to EuroStar, took some time out to talk about the French Ligue 1. The Englishman is under the spell of four players of the Championnat and hints that he
might try bringing them to the White Hart Lane in the summer transfer window.
While questioned by L’Equipe, the veteran tactician spoke about a few players he has scouted. Redknapp revealed that he already has a scout in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 who gives him regular reports about players who could do well for the Spurs.
First target, but not the least, is LOSC Lille midfielder Eden Hazard. Redknapp says that the club is willing to spend big to sign Hazard.
“Our owner is willing to pay for a talent as exceptional as Eden Hazard. I saw him several times in Marseille recently. I also saw him in the final of the Coupe de France last year. But I know that Manchester Untied are keen on him and so are Manchester
City. It will be hard to get him, but I like him.”
If the tracks leading to one of the hottest players in Ligue 1 seems tricky, Redknapp is also keeping tabs on other players.
Montpellier Herault’s Olivier Giroud and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 striker Loic Remy, are the two players Harry Redknapp has been monitoring for a few months now. The former Portsmouth manager even tried signing Remy this January but nothing happened.
“Yes, we hoped to get him, we tried. I like Remy. But he was not for sale. We love him, he is a very good player,” says Redknapp thus indicating that the Londoners will certainly return to the player next summer.
Marseille are also keen on Stephane Mbia of Marseille. Redknapp is apparently a big fan of the Cameroonian and could go on a massive spending spree in France when the summer transfer window opens. However, his future at Spurs is still far from being settled
so nothing can be ascertained at this point of time.
