French international and Arsenal forward, Olivier Giroud has gone on to label the English Premier League as being the best league in the world, and feels that the intensity and physicality levels in England aren’t comparable to any other league.
The striker went on to arrive at the Emirates at the start of the season, following a very successful stint with Montpellier in the French Ligue 1. However, following his move he found it hard to settle into the team, but with him finally finding his spot
in the team, he seems to be loving life at the Emirates.
The striker went on to score his first league goal in a three goals to one win over West Ham United, and this goal seems to have given the confidence that he needed to improve his performances even better.
When talking about life in the Premier League, the striker is reported to have said: "Yes but I have to be prepared to battle against some very tough and physical defenders who go for it"
"That's the fighting spirit you find in England. The Premier League is the best in the world and it has more intensity than the French League.”
"You need to be ready physically and there are a lot more better players, like in La Liga."
The striker went on to score a goal in his appearance for France last night, as he scored in the dying stages of the game against Spain. The goal from Giroud saw the game end in a one all draw, and put an end to Spain’s winning streak.
If that goal is anything to go by, then we can all safely say that the striker has finally found his form and is now looking to explode for his club.
Arsenal are now going to be taking on Norwich City in their upcoming game in the Premier League. This game is going to give Giroud a prime opportunity to show just how good he can be, and potentially score a goal once again.
It is now a wait to see just how the forward performs for Arsenal over the course of his career.
