Arsenal’s striker, Olivier Giroud has admitted that he is going to start scoring goals, as soon as his confidence is up and running.
The striker was signed by the Gunners in the summer transfer window, as the team was looking to boost their attacking options.
Following a rather impressive stay in the French Ligue 1 last season, the forward came to the Emirates with a lot of expectations riding on his shoulders.
However, despite these expectations, the striker is yet to find the back of the net for the North London club.
Giroud has gone on to admit that he isn’t feeling as confident as he should, but has also claimed that as the days go by, his confidence is improving, which is bound to help his performances out.
When talking about him not scoring for the Gunners yet, the French international is quoted to have said: "I'm not too worried about it, because I've been scoring in training and I feel pretty comfortable being a part of this team.”
He then admitted that he went through a similar situation for France, as he didn’t start scoring for the national team right away. In fact it took the player a couple of games before he went on to justify his spot in the team.
"I've been freezing up a little bit just when I've been about to pull the trigger and that's exactly what happened in my first few matches for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.”
"I've always scored goals – it's simply a question of confidence, of tenacity and dedication. Those two words have always stuck in my mind, as for me they sum up quite well the qualities that a forward needs to have."
Despite not having scored for the team yet, Giroud has already looked to be rather impressive on the pitch. He tends to make some killer runs and his ability to hold the ball and win headers is rather outstanding.
Nonetheless, it is now going to be a matter of him finding his shooting feet and starting to put the ball in the back of the net, in order for him to become a crucial part of the Gunners squad.
