If my horse is a 36 in a western cinch what size would he be for a hunter/jumper girth?

  1. You can't really determine English girth size from the western cinch size. Girth size depends not only on the size of the horse's barrel, but also the length of the billets on the English saddle.

    The best way to determine your girth size is to put your English saddle on the horse with your saddle pad and measure from one side, under the belly, to the other. You'll want to measure at least 2-3 holes up the billets on each size. That measurement in inches is your girth size.
