Gisela Dulko takes down Serbian Bojana Jovanovski in the 1st round – Texas Open 2011
Contesting against each other at the Hilton DFW Lakes in Grapevine, Texas were Argentine Gisela Dulko and Serbian Bojana Jovanovski. The two were competing against each other for the first time at the Texas Open 2011.  Argentine
Dulko bagged a bagel and a 6-3 victory in just 68 minutes of play in the first round.
Not aware of each other’s style and technique, the players wanted to outshine the other but the Dulko gained an upper hand and eventually won the set after 18 minutes into the match. Commencing the first set both had committed
a double fault each and lost a point each but Dulko had smashed an ace and another ace during the set.
Dulko was performing stunningly in her serves as she was able to amass 17 of 18 points, which amounted to a 72% win in her total service points, while, the Serb only congregated 28% of her total return points.
A barrage of rebounding shots aimed at Jankovic entertained the masses along with, facilitating her own ability; she was able to clench a grand 71% of her total return points against the Serb, who had 5 out of 17 points, making
it a pitiable 29% of her total service points and besides this she was capable enough to save all her break points and broke her opponent thrice.
Gisela Dulko won the set by accomplishing 15 points more than her opponent’s and a 71% win in her total set points, not letting her adversary win a single game.
The second set of the match was again a comprehensive victory for the Argentine as she hit 4 aces in one game and took the lead. Mean while Jovanovski struck no aces and committed 4 double faults losing most of her points.
Although, the Serb performed better in her serve and was able to win 52% of her total service points; she was only able to win 1 out 5 break points and was unable to come up with the numbers, while the Argentine managed to secure
a 48% of her total returns.
Dulko had proved that she had an exceptional serve by attaining 25 out of 41 points, making it a grand 61% of her total return points against Jovanovski, who barely mustered a 39% in her total return points.
Securing a berth in the second round of the event was as easy as pie for Gisela Dulko, by achieving 38 out of 68 points, making it a 56% win of her total set points.
