The Villarreal striker believes that La Roja care too much about their image to indulge in stitching-up Italy in their upcoming match, and has stressed that the Spaniards will not settle for a stalemate.
Giuseppe Rossi is convinced that Spain will not try to plot a draw with Croatia in order to send out Italy, and has stressed that the image sensitive Spaniards will never resort to unhealthy sporting activities.
The Azzurri must beat Ireland in their final group match in order to have any chance of gaining a ticket to the quarter-finals stage of Euro 2012. However, their dream can still be crushed despite the victory, if the other Group

The matter has been subjected to a lot of frenzy in the media, with many suggesting that the two teams could fix the result of the match to protect their interest, while many Spaniards and Croatians have objected to the offending
claims.

The Villarreal midfielder pointed out that the Spanish squad includes the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Xavi and Andres Iniesta, who would never agree to any such non-sporting behaviour.
The former Manchester United striker stressed that Red Fury are a team that enter the field of play only with the view to win the game.
While talking to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the 25-year-old said:

Giuseppe Rossi was set to be included in Italy’s final squad before a knee injury ruled him out of Euro 2012.  When asked about his feelings after missing the European tournament, the striker stated:

The Villarreal aggressor is expected to be back in action during the early months of 2013.
