The Italian international is out until February 2013 with an anterior cruciate ligament injury but will be allowed to leave on the cheap in the ongoing summer transfer window by Villarreal.
Despite suffering from a long term injury problem, Villarreal star forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giuseppe-Rossi-c15027, is attracting the interest of football entities across Europe.
The prolific attacker could not live up to his exploits in 2010/11 Spanish top flight football campaign that saw him hitting the back of the net an amazing 32 times in 56 competitive performances.
In addition, it was his 10 assists that captured the hearts of football purists, showing the other side of his footballing philosophy.
However, the concluded 2011/12 Spanish topflight season was a cruel jape for the Italian international. After becoming an ever present figure in the Yellow Submarine side, Rossi made a paltry 14 outings during the course of the season that saw them finish
in relegation slots at the end.
Agent of the injured star, Federico Pastorello, took out time to explain the future of his client. Pastorello shared that at the moment, Villarreal value him less than 10 million Euros.
He added that the Yellow Submarine want to get rid off Rossi’s wage bill from the accounting books after their relegation to the Segunda Division.
The agent stated the Valencian club will be looking to accept any offer as long as it guarantees they get a handsome return if the New Jersey born star returns to his goal scoring ways.
"It could take as little €10 million to sign him, but that may also not be enough," Pastorello commented.
"To sign Rossi, any fee could be enough, but then I believe that Villarreal want an assurance that if he returns to being a player who can score 30-35 goals a season, his valuation from last summer is guaranteed again.”
"I think that there will be a fixed amount in the deal, but also some bonuses. But Villarreal's president will be the one to decide his price."
Rossi has been linked with a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 in the transfer window, with Pastorello claiming that anything can happen before August 31.
"I cannot exclude the possibility of a move to Napoli," Pastorello said while in conversation with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
