The Siena boss still feels that there is a balance between the refereeing decisions, sometimes they are in your favour and at times they are not.
Serie A week 25 was full of controversies, one following the other. There was uproar in the match between AC Milan and Juventus, even the match of Palermo and Siena was marred with controversial decisions.
AC Milan bemoaned the decision of their disallowed goal of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sulley-Muntari-c34312 against the Old Lady. There were a couple of incidents in Siena’s match as well.
The Bianconeri boss was philosophical, yet again, in his views and stated:
“Those who know me well know that even when we have had things taken away, something I have always said is to pick ourselves up and return home to work.”
He was of the opinion that decisions made by the match officials, more or less, got compensated by the end of the season and no one was unjustly treated in the end.
Palermo patron, Maurizio Zamparini, blew a gas kit after he felt hard done by the match referee, Gabriele Gava, who officiated the Sunday clash between the two sides. Palermo defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Federico-Balzaretti-c13451,
was given the marching orders by Gava in the second-minute of the match; besides that Zamparini also spoke against the penalty-kick awarded to the Robur.
The chief also hinted at the referee’s bias in favour of the Siena side due to previous connection with the Tuscan side. However, Sannino did not out rightly object to his opinions, but felt that Balzaretti
red-card was just, he remarked:
“I’ve not heard Zamparini’s words. I respect the President, but surely we must look at what happened on the pitch - I can speak in favour of Balzaretti’s expulsion because I have seen it so many times, the last man denying the
opportunity to score.”
The 54-year-old reflected that Siena played great football and even though his side had an advantage playing against 10-men, credit should not be taken away from his players.
He also mentioned that the penalty decision in his side’s favour was dubious, but they made countless other opportunities.
