  1. The problem is that there are no characteristics that specifically define a reptile.

Taxonomists refer to the group as a 'wastebasket' group, in that any lineage of organisms that doesn't fit into any other group gets thrown into the reptile category - so you have critters as diverse as sea turtles, cobras, Tyrannosaurs, pterosaurs, and geckos all in the same Class.

Compared with the differences between a sea turtle and a pterosaur, the differences between a bird like Archaeopteryx, and a reptile like Compsognathus are very minimal.

In general, we define birds as critters with feathers - however, it is now known that feathers also appeared in several lineages of dinosaur.  So even that character isn't very distinctive.

When comparing modern birds and modern reptiles, the feathers are an obvious difference, and in evolutionary terms allowed the birds to have an insulative covering for the development of a high metabolic rate and endothermy - and also gave them something that could be modified to provide strong, light extensions of their integument used to catch air and thus provide the power of flight - especially when combined with the high metabolic rate.

Another difference is that modern bird species have no teeth - a modification that reduces the weight of the skull, again aiding in the development of powered flight.

  2. How either originated from a single cell that its self originated from a freak accident in space, When with today's technology mankind cannot recreate this freak accident in any of their laboratories,

I am not a church goes or religious person, but i cannot see how evolution adds up.

How can something that turns into a daisy, also turn into a tiger?
