The growth of trees and hence the production of CO2 and Oxygen is dependent upon light from the sun.  This process--photosynthesis dependent upon and has interrelationship with the Ozone, which is compromised by the burning of fossil fuels and the creation of the greenhouse effect destroying the ozone and over heating the planet.

Plants produce oxygen from carbon dioxide and you breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.

I like the example of how the Scarlet Lady Cleaning Shrimp will clean the teeth of other fish, thereby helping the fish while getting food for itself.  This is more of an interrelationship within an eco system.

Bees pollinate flowers. When bear hunting was prohibited, the region got inhabited by lots of bears. Bears eat honey and destroyed honeycombs. Bees disappeared from the region. Flowers did too. Bees didn't pollinated them any more.
