Sprawl is when an urban area spreads into the surrounding rural lands, so technically, urban sprawl does not exist.  Suburbs are a great example of sprawl - low population density, single-use properties, cars are an absolute necessity, walking and bicycling is almost impossible because of the great distaces between places... that's what sprawl is.  Think "lots of empty and useless space between properties" - big lawns, hugh parking lots that never get filled up, etc.
