However the answer is :

Adhankotasan is said to be a brahmin tamil scholar.

Panamparanar who had written a special  note for tholkappiyam described him as a man with knowledge of four holy vedas.

According to panamparanar tholkppiyar had submitted his great work to the council of tamil scholars headed by adhankotasan.

My own view:

Tholkappiyam belongs to the age of middle sangam.

The places of middle sangam can be found no more. They were engulfed by sea. The present adhakodu  have no relation with tholkappiyar.

So, creation of adhankotasan is nothing but an attempt of brahminisation of tamil literature.
