  1. a 6 year old should not be excluded from any activty no matter what condition they have. The child should be encouraged to take part and taught how it is acceptable.

  2. 1.  Your identified  6 year old can fully be included in a group book report.  The group reads the book orally with the better readers doing most of the reading.  Drawings or other creative work can be done by everyone.  When presenting to the whole class your identified student holds the art while the others explain.

    2. Math with manipulative's are a great way to include a less able student.  Work with a partner or small group to make posters of specific math facts.  Example:  Draw pictures to match 3+7.

This is known as peer tutoring and small group work.  Preferential seating is also important so that the student is sitting in a location that has easy access for teacher support.

  3. get the child involved with baking, cooking, and go to the craft store, things w use for all of all life as well as sports. Throwing the ball with them can make them better player in the end. drills at running the bases.running backwards. all parks have walk throw activities for their one  mile walk. balance beams, push ups, etc. They don't make adult parks so take advantage while you are at the right height.

weel crafts stain glass making, clay molding forming, coloring, or go to craft store for your ideas of what this purson is capable of.
