Give examples on self awareness and cultural diversity?

The question seems a bit unclear.  Having lived in several major Canadian cities, I see examples of cultural diversity daily. I have many friends that are of different cultural and racial groups.  I consider myself fully integrated in Canadian society, but my parent culture still remains strong. For example, I will still observe Korean customs but my lifestyle is "Canadian" - which in of itself values diversity.
