Give me a creative idea for promoting the idea of reducing electricity consumption in the households..plz :)?

If I plan to run a promotional campaign for 6 months...what can the idea please?

Replace single pan glass windows by double pan, saves air conditioning

Give people some numbers on exactly how much energy costs them for different appliances (e.g. dryer, refrigerator, TV), and how much they can save by conserving.

Ooh show them solutions.  Show them cost effective ways to save energy too..esp common ones like don't use appliances too long or unplug (really important) appliances when not using them..focus on the benefits of effective ways to reduce consumption- using appliances after peak hours, energy efficient lightbulbs, and less costly energy effective appliances. ^__^

Also you may want to talk about the problems of high electricity consumption...you may want to talk about how much eletricity is used and how reduced electricty will lead to benefits as well as a better environment.  Also you may want to talk to local TV stations about this and see if they're interested (along with newspapers (buy up ads if it doesn't cost ya too much), Churches [schools too], and neighbors to help spread word!).  You can also think of talking with government officials like those in charge of programs to increase awareness of global warming and climate change...and energy efficienct incentives..etc talk to them..CA broadcasts commercials asking people to reduce electricty..maybe you could talk to govt officials who are in charge of different areas of energy (like a Public Utilities Commission) to see if they're interested in this idea...not sure about my government idea but I like my other ones much more! ^^ hehe..sorry if the last idea was bad...I just talked about what was in my head for what one can :) try for advertising campaign . .

Show a meter with the the electricity use or bill changing when people turn off or put in energy saving appliances or lighting.  That is show them the  the amount of money they can save by conservation.
