what is so special about 2012???(i know that it is cosidered to be the last day according to the mayan calander)but,what disasters are expected on december 21st,2012??

one show mentioned that the axis of the earth is supposed to shift to the opposite side, so from right tilt to left tilt(or whatever is opposite to the way it is now). not all the way around mind you. according to some scientific calculations if they are correct, and that happens, the north pole will shift and there will be drastic weather changes in all regions, etc...but it hasnt gotten a lot of publicity, so i dont think ppl have that much faith in whoever came up with it. discoverychannel.com might have something on it. that all i know though!

The author, Lawrence E. Joseph, wrote a book based on a "scientific" point of view dealing with the subject of 2012. He's relied more on the findings of scientists than on just mere "oh there's a calendar that says the world ends in 2012", so you might want to check it out and see what he has to say on the topic. No matter what anyone may tell you, you can rely on a few things to tell the truth.

#1 Geology doesn't lie.

Is there oil forming anywhere today? No. For oil to form, carbon based lifeforms have to become extinct on masse - then be covered by silt within a very short time. Alything less, and they become food for bigger fish, and you just get bones.

From coal deposits, we can see this is a regular thing on Earth.

We even have a biblical record of it - and it's survivors.

#2 Governments don't panic the public.

This is at best counter-productive, as it takes resources away from the main aim, at worst is a hinderance.

#3 Governments are making long term plans. The Ark project in Norway is storing seeds of the world......just in case, deep underground.  USA just announced a Millenium Library - again underground.

Research what you can on "Common Purpose" - Behind the whitewash of their websites, you will find no-body wishing to discuss ANYTHING!, yet they are "educating" millions to be community leaders.....after an "event", and make sure the status quo stays put. Ask your local council how much of your money they spent on "Common Purpose" training last year - and see what they say.

Why are there food shortages and high prices now? - where is it all going?

Why are the military spending more now on crowd control non-lethal weapons than ever before? - The same with increased policing and surveilance.

Just seems a lot going on at the moment.

Stand by for an increase in military recruitment of "part time"soldiers in the next 2 years. These will be your neighbours - telling you to stay put and not cause a fuss. They could not possibly hope to control a nation without more voulenteer forces. - Oh and the Camps and trains they are building everywhere - What are they for?

Well I found out about this along time ago. I freaked out but then I researched it. This morning on Montel Sylvia Brown (World Renowned Physic) was on she wrote a book about it. The End of Time she says that there are many prophesies about the end of time. There was even one saying the end of time was in 2005. Sylvia said that we have at least 94-96 more years to live. You shouldn't listen to all that crud.  Sylvia said that the people ran out of ink!  Well anyways you could ask god for advice. And check out the book:

The Myan calender ends in that year.

So everyone's like "Ahh the world will end, because their calender ends!"

Sounds almost convincing because their calender has predicted many eclipses, etc etc all over time.

BUT, our calender ends, too... ever twelve months.

There are several theories on this. The movie 2012: Doomsday says that it will be a cataclysmic polar shift, causing the polar ice caps to melt. Some believe it will be like  The Day After Tomorrow. Most think it will simply be the end of the world. But I say there will be a war. World War III, which includes not only the physical world, but the metaphysical as well. This theory seems to be getting more and more likely, based on recent events. Some people are already preparing for war.

Its still possible that nothing will happen, but  don't think that's likely. December 21st...I don't think there's any real significance to that date, but if there is, it will be a major turning point. Probably the biggest turn in the whole situation.
