  5. It would be helpful to know a geographic area.

For a family event you may want to go to Buca di Beppo or Maggiano's Little Italy.  Both serve southern Italian food in a family style.  That means you get several dishes for the table and everyone can share.  This creates a great atmosphere.  The last time I was at Maggiano's they were still doing all you can eat  dishes.  The food is tasty, with something for almost everyone.

  6. Olive Garden would be my choice. A nice steakhouse would be good too.

  7. 99 - good prices and awesome food.

  8. This one has  covered tables,  it is really nice and the food is very good. Some times they even sing Italian songs.   Its called  Romano"s  Macaroni Grill.  The other place is Kabuto. It is Japanese. They cook the food at the table and kind of entertain you. The food there is also good.  I like both places.

  9. what kind of food does he like? mexican, chilis, chevy's, don pablos, italian, carabas, macaroni grill, steak-texas roadhouse, charlie browns, logans, maybe a nice diner.

  10. A smorgasboard would be nice.  All you can eat at a great price including sweets/desserts. Thaz my favorite.

Plus Lonestar is the bomb.  A Johnny Cash Stash.

  11. Apple Bees

  12. I like a lot of local restaurants, but the best fun and food combination among chain restaurants, for a Dad, would be Texas Roadhouse.

Red Robin and Chili's are also good bets.
