Being an highly original thinker, and less of a conformist I wish to find a more eco friendly way for me to be put to rest, My 33 Stone bulk is going to take some shifting, my carbon footprint for disposal is going to be huge, I have heard that there is a company in Russia that has perfected atomising the recently departed. Any ideas?

What i don't want is the following:

Being shot into space

Being buried at sea

Being disolved

Being Compacted

I am rewriting my will at the moment and need clarity on this issue!

  1. I am not sure why you are opposed to being dissolved. It has distinct environmental advantages over any other thing you are going to do even if it just having yourself shipped to another country. You would undue all that you tried to accomplish with just that one flight alone. Take a look at the article below. You should at least give it some thought. I guess you could have your loved ones carry you relay style on foot to Russia to be atomized... just a thought!

  2. Leave your body to medical science - for dissection , training new doctors etc (thats what I did)

  3. Parsees (Zorastrians) leave their bodies in "Towers of Silence" (like a gasholder but without a roof), where they allow vultures to eat the corpse.  Parsees live around Bombay, but originally came from Persia.

One of the world's oldest religions.

  4. Been eaten my Cannibals

    Been preserved in ice

  5. you could be made into an organic servant, ypu brain bein replaced by a comptuer to serve rich people. or you could donate your body to the military for them to use as target practice or testing new weapons/ammunition.

  6. Burying the dead is unhygienic and it is damaging to the environment.

Cremation produces so much pollution and toxins in the air - however much they may filter the exhaust fumes - it is not the best method.

Do like what one sect does in India. They leave their dead in a special place where the animals, vultures and the like eat the body clean. You make yourself useful even in your death. This is the best way. Sea burial comes close to this method - because the sea creatures can consume you.

Or, depending on the circumstances of your death and the age when you die, you can donate your body for research and your organs for transplant.

All other alternatives have repurcursions and it causes environmental damage. I am against burial.

Going back 1000's of years, we were few of us on earth. Burial was OK then. Today, this is really an issue. Think about it.

  7. 1. You could donate your body to science- it would be helpful to the world.

    2. You could donate your organs.

    3. You could take part in Cryogenics, or the science of freezing a body until medicine has evolved enough to revive you. (still in practice stage- they need bodies to experiment on)

  8. You could be turned into a fantastic and educational piece of art! Your 33 Stone bulk could be preserved in a sporty pose and travel the world as an exhibit of Body World - look at http://www.msim.org.uk/whats-on/body-wor...

well, yes, of course this will have some environmental impact, but as with everything, this has to balanced against the positive impacts on medicine, education, culture, art  - of which there appear to be many in this case.

  9. Pickled. You can do it yourself with a few cases of Scotch.... lol

  10. When you feel you are about to die go somewhere no one will ever find you (like a joss stone concert) and just rot. All the little beasties can chow down on your fat carcass and then in a million years time some guy will find urs and joss stones bones and sell them to a museum for gwigzillions of £. Perfecto. x x

  11. Being made into a diamond!

  12. flying a 33 stone man to russia's not going to be very good for the environment is it.

You could put yourself in a giant worm farm and let them eat you. People could watch you decompose and be eaten and make a donation of £1 the money raised could buy trees to reduce your lifetimes carbon footprint.

  13. Being buried at sea.

  14. Being buried at sea is really the only practical alternative to cremation or burial on land.

  15. Be fed to pigs, they will eat anything

  16. Incinerated.

  17. Being ceremoniously (in good taste) lowered onto a land mine

  18. Try not dying at all.

    That's what i'm doing.

    So far so good.

  19. you could be hung drawn and quartered as an alternative

and hung on gates as the person who refused to join the dead in the cemeteries provided.   you may need   to pay more council tax for this honour that was bestowed on Willie Wallace if you are not of Scottish origin

  20. The green way is to have yourself composted provided any evolved CO2 can be sequestered into rocks.

  21. Being picked clean by scavenging birds and animals. Or made into soup and pies for all your wake guests.

  22. let doctors donate ur organs, and everything, like eyes, heart, blood, etc., or yea, use ur body to train new doctors?

  23. You could be recycled, legs go to someone arms to someone else and so on

  24. be stuffed and put in a glass case.

  25. Be cryogenically frozen ready to be brought back to life when the technology is available.

  26. Tell you what, mate, you do believe in limiting the options, don't you?

Freeze dried and shattered apparently works wonders.

  27. All my ideas have been chosen, so I'll say you should be fed to pigs, we eat them, so it would redress the balance.
