  2. Ireland is the same size as New York City! :)

  3. Ireland is an island where the people are united and want to see the whole island ruled by the Republic. All people born on the island are Irish.

We were once fully occupied by the English, but this is nearly at an end.

  4. It's green because of the north atlatic current. Up untill 5 years ago it was the whitest place in Europe. Some town outside of Doublin just elected the first Black Mayor ever and he's orginally Nigerian. The north uses the Sterling and the republic uses the Euro as currency.  People drive crazy so when crossing the street always look to the right first or you'll get hit.  Sheep ALWAYS have the right of way as well as anyone street bowling.  Pubs stay open till 11 pm.  Bring really comfortable shoes.

  5. There definitely no leprechauns.

  7. Useful for what? Tis a bit of a general question. Regarding Lifestyle/Economics/Geography-Socio Economic or Physical/Religions/ History/Tourism? Give us a few hints and you may get some good info :o)

English is the language most used, Irish is the official language, and Polish is the next unofficial language.

The only predictable thing you can say about the weather is that it's incredibly unpredictable. Irish weather is an oxymoron!

It's a hilly country, with very few high mountains. The climate is maritime. Lots of rivers.

The infrastructure is in need of improvement, but the population of the Republic is just over 4 million inhabitants.

The political structure is very similar to that of Britain, except that most of Ireland is a Republic (Britain is a monarchy). The Irish Parliament is called the Oireachtas, the equivalent of the House of Commons is the Dail, a member of the parliament is called a Trachta Dala which is Irish for Member of Parliamet (shortened to TD), and the Senate is called the Seanad.

  9. Ireland is divided into two parts. The north is British and the south is Irish. Both are radically different. North has a different religion, sports currency standards etc. Some southern people would like the north to be Irish. Most northern people would like the whole island to be british again as it was before.  All people born here in the north are british naturally as throughout the world. In the south you are naturally Irish. This may happen in time as the Good Friday Agreement in 1998 now allows the people to decide on future nationality. So time will tell.

  10. It's green and it's an island. We're not sayin anymore cos the taxman might be readin this.
