Give me courage to quit?

Question

I need a little courage to quit my job. It is so silly, It is a college part time job at a newspaper. I don't even need this job, its not part of my career path, Its just extra spending money. I don't have any bills, my parents fully support me but i have been working here for almost a year and i have put a lot of energy and love into this place. I guess i'm just scared..I'm not sure why. Be nice, but give me a little kick so i can just laugh it off and get out of here.

The best way to quit if you just want to quit, is to put in a two week notice that says that you enjoyed your job, but you have other plans in your future that you need to take care of.  Or just thank them for their employment and give no specific reason.  But always put in a two week notice, you get better references in the future.

It's good that you got a year's worth of working experience while in college.  Simply write a professional letter of resignation for your boss, including how glad you are for the experience and to have built relationships with everyone you worked with.  Walk into his/her office & tell him, "I hate to do this, but I need to move on to concentrate on school" then hand over the letter.  Shouldn't be hard.  Go on with your bad self!!!!!! hehe

Why do you want to quit?  If you have put a lot of time and love into it you must like it.  and why wouldn't you want extra money to have?  If you really want to quit you shouldn't need a kick to do it.
