carbohydrates: main source of energy
protiens: used in building new tissue
lipids: used in the formation of cell membrane and used as a secondary means of energy
water: used in krebs cycle and used in heavily in homeostasis
vitamins: keep body balanced and healthy (winged it on that definition tho sry)

i got u bro haha im doing this as hw right now. 5 types are carbohydrates lipids protiens water and vitamins
carbohydrates are you main energy source
lipids are used to form cell membranes and to help insulate the body in extreme temperatures
protiens are used to help build new tissues
water is used in the krebs cycle
as for vitamins i kinda winged it and said vitamins are used to keep you body balanced and healthy. hope this helped
