Give me ideas for a teacher retirement dinner---songs, other activites,program format?

This dinner is planned for my sister. She taught elementary school for 28 years. I want to have a program along with the dinner. I want ideas for program formats, ideas for songs, retirement poems for teachers, humorous poems, etc.

we had a party for a woman who was retiring at our school.  it had a luau theme.

We did a really cool little contest at our principal's retirement dinner, (32 years) we took old photos of him from over the years and made posters of certain years and people had to guess the year of each poster. There were door prizes for each poster of the correct answers.
