Give me some info on volleyball?

pretty much what everyone else said for a broad overview.  But also your front row is mainly in charge of getting the kill (a hit that the other team can't return) and putting up a big block to stop the other teams hits.  The back row is mainly your defense responsible for getting a good pass to the setter so that the front row players can have a better chance of getting a kill.  Back row players can launch an attack and hit, but they have to jump behind the 10ft line, if they don't its a point for the other team. Setters usually touch the second ball of every play as they assist the hitters, but on broken plays (when the ball isn't passed well enought o be reached by the setter) either the right side player or another teammate steps in to take the ball.  There's really alot about the sport so I'd suggest asking specific questions.

-Volleyball is a sport with either six players on the court at one time (hard court volleyball) or two players on the court (beach volleyball).

-The positions are

Outside Hitter (OH)

Middle Hitter (MH)

Outside Blocker (OB)

Middle Blocker (MB)

Defensive Specialist (DS)

Libero (L)

-Defensive Specialist are players who mainly play back row (passing).

-Liberos are people who can go in for anyone in the back row, but they cannot go into the front. They wear a different colored jersey thatn the other players so teh Libero Tracker can identify them.

I play volleyball in college.  There is six on the court.  There is a front row and a back row.  In the front middle there is a middle hitter.  On the right of him is a strong outside hitter.  On the left of the middle there is a weak side or opposite hitter.  In the back row there are also three players.  Most teams have on libero.  That is a specialist in digging the ball.  There is also a setter that sets the ball to the front row hitters. the setter can also set to the back row, but not the libero.  The setter can also play front row.  The game in highschool is played best of 5 games to 25 points.  win by 2 or more.  in college it is to 30pts.  There is much much more to know but tha is the basics.
