  1. They are trying to help you with truth, but you want fiction instead.

  2. There's only 3 answers -

    1) You believe others who say it's real without question,

    2) you believe that since it's warmer now then last year, next year will be even warmer.

    3) You are a follower rather then a leader.

  3. Here are three:

    1. Global temperatures are rising.  You can clearly see this by looking at a plot of temperatures from the National Climatic Data Center http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/img/climate/res...

    2.  Laboratory measurements identify carbon dioxide as being the second most important greenhouse gas.  The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is rising rapidly, as can be seen here http://earthguide.ucsd.edu/globalchange/...

    3.  Global climate forecast models show temperatures rising with increasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. http://www.grida.no/climate/ipcc_tar/sli...

(If you search around, you can probably find even better plots in the IPCC documents)

  4. Because Al Gore, Meryl Streep, and Whoopie Goldberg say it is.

  5. 1. Solar activity has been studied and it cannot explain the temperature increases.

    2. CO2 is a known greenhouse gas and temperature increases have correlated with steady increase of it into the atmosphere due to industry.

    3. Every alternative theory put forth by skeptics has been adequately debunked and more evidence for CO2 being the cause continues to build.

  6. Polar caps are melting

    more forest fires

carbon dioxide levels highest point in millions of years

all these commercials and shows about it

    hotter summers

    more hurricanes

    Katrina

    less snowfall

    more droughts

    need i go on?

  7. you won't find any real answers.  People are credulous and believe everything some half wit says.

Did your teacher give you that topic?  Make a new topic, 3 reasons why global warming is not cause by humans.

That last one is iffy.  There has been a lot of waffling

If your teacher gave you that topic, tell him/her that he/she is a credulous maleficent leech.

  8. LOGIC:

Greenhouse gases emissions are increasing as a result of human activities

Greenhouse gases are gases with a greenhouse effect.

Increased concentrations of greenhouse gases therefore lead to an increased greenhouse effect.... so the global temperature increases

  9. global warming is happening

the question is are we causing it or is it a natural event there is nothing we can do about?

    btw

for they guy who said co2 levels are higher than they have been in millions of years.

    thats really false

actually they are lower than they have been in thousands

  10. Because Al Gore invented the internet.

Because we have been warming since the last ice age.

Because global warming can even cause global cooling.

  11. Well it is hard to believe what scientists say is true, actuly not to long ago there was a scientist/meteorologist who said that we would be going into another Ice Age, although he was wrong about the Ice Age part the temperature did drop one degree in the north and south pole. So some time scientists are not right on the money, but the warming trends in the south and north pole has definetly gone up. Also there are people who study icebergs, they do that because ice bergs depeanding on now the layers of ice in it looks and other stuff they can tell how the temperature was back along time ago, and they say by looking at the ice the climate has been going up. And on the obvious side, they can tell some of the world's largest and oldest icebergs  have been melting, Also if we continue to do what we do we might cause the sea level to rise immensly fron the melting of icebergs, and the number of polerbears is starting to get very low, also when the sea level rises it could cause New York, Manhattan, and New Orleans to go under water (but we all knew that it isn't very bright for you to build houses under sea level, so saying we all new New Orleans was doomed from the start.)

Well in conclution I don't mean to scare you into beileving like the media does,(yes they do that.) So it is hard to beilieve but  we do have enough evidence for us to start getting worried.

  12. i personally don't believe in it...its a hoax....i'll give you the 3 reasons why i don't

1).because temperatures have fallen in the past decade

2). al gore is a moron

3). i am a republican, not an ignorant liberal

  13. Glaciers/Icebergs are melting

Ozone layer has a hole in it

    Rainforest depletion

All adds up to global warming

  14. http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/glo...

    check this interactive globe

Global warming is but a component, in a group of destructive forces at work such as ;deforestation, desertification, soil and water contamination ,irresponsible or wasteful utilization of bio resources , air pollution,Non sustainable Agriculture, over pumping carbon aquifers

all concepts which are definitely not part of the Natural Processes of the Natural world

    .

    WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR,

The most prolific growth on this planet is part of the day in the mist and most of the time under clouds ,and the least growth is always directly in the sun .

To exchange the one for the other means changing local climates

We are exchanging Nature with Tar , concrete and open spaced mono cultures.

In 300 years half of the planets forests have gone ,and in the last 50 years half of the wet lands ,and rain forests

These Areas absorb heat during the day and release heat at night ,

Cause cloud formation(shade).humidifying the air on the surface as well as releasing excess water at the roots that keep rivers flowing ,which in turn brings more water into the Environment .

As well as contributing to absorbing carbon emissions as do the leaves of the trees together with the oceans .

All in all many factors which directly affect the local Environment .

The loss of the above resulting in rivers drying up ,less rain ,desertification, loss of habitat for many species and so on.

dryer and hotter surface environments which can manifest in different weather patterns such as tornadoes or bush fires

I may be stupid or Naive but somehow i believe that lots of these local environmental changes, can add up to affect global weather, If there are enough of them (and there are)

And then on top of that comes the story of the effects of pollutants released into Nature and especially the Air ,by MAN http://earthissues.multiply.com/photos/a...

A cocktail of events and a lot of the ingredients have MAN written all over them

So it is safe to assume that we should look at ourselves ,just a teeny bit ,for possible improvements ,and rectifying Eco errors that are with in our powers.

    What is a safer bet

to be or not to be
