Question:

Give me your opinion?

Ok so I'm joining the Army National Guard and proud that I am. I've always wanted to join the military and serve my country. But I am currently in college and trying to get my associates in criminal justice. I was wondering if I should go to basic this February, sign up for the college first program and come back and finish getting my degree and let them pay for it, or finish my degree and then join. Just want some honest opinions from maybe someone who has been in the same situation or someone who has experience but all answers are welcome. Thank you!

  1. Personally, I would finish school first.  I've seen too many people who interupt their education to find excuses to not continue.

Thank you for caring enough for your country to spend time to defend her.

  2. I would say join and let them pay for it. Colleges enjoy it when veterans come to their school, so it shouldn't be a problem with them.

  3. You receive benefits based on years of service, so you may not get immediate financial aid on the G.I. bill.If they offer you a program that includes a school benefit now, go for it, but you can be called up for action.
