It is the very core of the human heart to have faith.  Without it we become automatons.  Also, it is not unfounded to possess faith, for not all that there is in the universe is what we have come to already know.

I can accept that the statement made is true: they had faith, because they doubted whatever it was that they were supposed to believe was true. And yet they acted on it as if it was true.

Faith is belief without evidence of truth. It can admit doubt, but it trusts.

Having Faith -

When you connect with the higher intelligence, or Universal Mind, you start to work with it and IT in turn begins to work for you. There is a sea of universal substance which we can direct by our conscious thought and this universal substance will give to us exactly what we hold in our mind. "As a man thinketh, so it is unto him." These are definite spiritual laws we must come to understand so that we will have a knowing faith (consciously creating what we do want) and not operate by blind faith in which doubt may set in.

I like it. I believe it's very true.

Imagine how reserved and scared we'd be if we didn't have faith. We'd be too scared to believe in anything or do anything. Humans rely on fate everyday! It's also calle hope.
