What techniques work to improve your kids behavior?

I have a thing called the lottery system..They all get 10 tickets on sunday with there names on. If I have to tell them a second time to do something or not to do something I take a ticket. I also tell them the more tickets the better chance they have at winning. Saturday night I put all the tickets in a bowl and pick out the winner..they get to choose from a list of gifts of my choice,,gift cards,,extra time on the computer,,choice of a movie rental..choice of where we go to eat..etc. I found that this method really works. My house is more peaceful then ever.

MY MOM USED TO KEEP A JAR WITH PIECES OF PAPER THAT HAD PUNISHMENTS ON THEM LIKE CLEAN OUT THE FRIDGE, DEEP CLEAN BATHROOM, CLEAN INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF HER CAR, NO PHONE PAST 8 FOR A WEEK, GO THROUGH THE PANTRY AND THROW OUT ALL EXPIRED FOOD ETC.  IT REALLY SUCKED BUT I LEARNED THAT I HATED TO DO THOSE CHORES SO I MADE SURE TO KEEP MY HAND OUT OF THAT JAR!!!!!
