This is coming from one Of India's greatest spinners and he is no Sri Lanka fan.He is one of players who still say Murali is a chucker

i think he could take 600 wickets. if hes not have major injury in his career

accept the fact that mendis is quality spinner even though indians were his prey.he will surely cover 500 mark in quick time

Bishan Singh Bedi is a cricket legend. I also agree with him that Mendis will pick up 500 wickets in his test careers. Mendis is a great bowler and is always looking to pick up some wickets.

Although i disagree with him on Murali's case, but everyone has a right to their own opinion!

Well it doesn't take a cricketing great or a scientist to figure out that Mendis is going to do well and break records.

but it sure does take a stubborn person to keep accusing a person of chucking  a ball.

He is correct on Murli and Mendis

But i also doubt that he can touch the 500 test wicket marks cause at one time Harbhajan was also listed in the contenders

I just read this & I think he is right. If Mendis can consistently get the wickets he is getting now, he is up there with a chance of breaking Warne & Murali's records.

Edit: I do not agree with his assessment of Murali's bowling action however, it has been investigated at top level & found to be legal.

Bishen Singh Bedi has got freedom of speech.He is not playing now. So he can't be banned for ODI/Test

Bedi may be outspoken and brash but is also an astute analyst of the game. So Mendis must be a future great.
