  2. No, not unless you missed out part of the question.  The average (mean) of 3 and 6 is (3+6)/2 = 4.5

    A. 3a = 3(4.5) = 13.5

    B. a + 6 = 4.5 + 6 = 10.5

    So, comparing A and B, A is greater than B.
