Given a choice, would you rather watch Talledega Nights, Days of Thunder, or neither?

NASCAR movie question. If you'd rather watch another one you know of you can list that one too, although I want at least an answer to the two I listed at least.

  3. Days of Thunder probably.  I have never been a Will Farrell (sp?) fan.  Talladega Nights was funny the first time, but I think it would get on my nerves if I watched it again.

    However, I choose Cars :)   Go Lightning McQueen!

Days of Thunder easily.  It was a movie based on real times in Nascar.  The late great Dale Earnhardt and Geoff Bodine.  Talladega Nights was just a spoof on Nascar.  I used to work in a building that part of Days of Thunder was filmed in.  It still had some of the logo stickers on some of the windows, from the coffee room in the movie.  It was one of Rick Hendricks first race shops off of Sharon Amity Rd. in Charlotte.

  10. im a huge fan of Days of Thunder, it seems to be alot more realistic of what the sport actually is. I love talledega nights, but it was more comical than realistic

  11. Though inaccurate about several tracks,I'd choose Days nof Thunder.

    But for a good laugh go with Tallladega nights.

  13. Days of Thunder for sure.  It was the first real racing movie, that gives a perspective of the trials and tribulations of a NASCAR driver.  It's not just about driving the car, there is a mental side to the sport which was depicted well in this film.

    made me laugh!  Thought it was ridiculous then (back in 1990)...still ridiculous almost 20 years later...

    Best racing movie???

    I actually pulled out Days of Thunder and watched it again last night..still liked it..thanks for reminding me I have it!

  18. Since I've never actually seen those movies... Well, I guess there is a reason why I haven't seen those movies. It's a waste of time. I watched the fast and the furious and felt embarrased for the filmaker. It's all too fake. Maybe if I didn't know the reality of racing, I could be pacified. And for sure, like i'm going to let Tom Cruise, try to fake me out. When it comes to motorsports, only reality turns me on, the rest is just special effects. I would rather watch the cartoon movie "Cars", which I have in the movie theatre. Cow tipping is a gas!

  20. Night was funny, but Days was the first real movie that made sense.  I'm going to go watch them both right now.

  22. Days of Thunder. when i first saw previews for Talledega Nights, i was expecting a very funny movie but when i watched it i thought it was terrible.

  23. Days of Thunder is a great comedy and some of the action scenes are pretty good, even if they are overdone. Talladega Nights was short on racing and comedy. Stroker Ace is one for the books, too.
