  1. =(x+2)^2 -3(x+2) +4 -(2^2 -3(2) +4)

    =x^2 +4x +4 -3x -6 -(2)

    =x^2 +x -4


  2. The result is (x+2)^2 -3(x+2) +4 -(4 - 6 + 4).  You do the simplification.
