I guess if you call uneducated, poor, physically and emotionally abused, drug user, and  most likely molested at a young age normal.

Not that I would know, but I assume that most prostitutes are not like the Julia Roberts character glamorized in the movie "Pretty Woman." Most are regular, everyday people who have turned to prostitution as a last resort to support a college education, a family or a drug habit. Some of these women have been mentally and physically abused and feel that their worth can only be found while laying on their backs. Spitzer's prostitute was just that girl. In answer to your question: I don't think women will be flocking to oldest profession anytime soon. Real women know their worth and know that there isn't enough money in the world that would allow us to fall to such a degrading space.
