This is something I never before paid attention to but now I seem to notice. I first noticed it when me and a friend would go to a fridays for lunch and I noticed we were given the same table exact table 3 times in a row. Later at the same restaurant the same thing happened, only this time 4 times in a row at a different table, 2 times I was by myelf and 2 times with other people. Now I noticed the same thing happening at another restaurant, a buffet place, where I go to for lunch and dinner and somehow managed to get the exact same spot 3 times in a row! Not that it happens everywhere for example, my local IHOP and Chillis always seems to give me a different spot.

Still I have to ask what are the chances of anyone going to a restaurant, with different people serving you each time and getting the exact same table first 3 times in a row, and then getting another one 4 times in a row?!?!?!

  1. i am a server and , for example a lot could do with time of day,, and how full the restaraunt,, and how many in your party,, if a party of two comes in later at night and we are empty i always put them at th same general area if not on table 17 ( a boothe easy to see and to get to) another reson i hate to say is how you look,, people will deny it but we seaton looks you really can generally tell how people will tip by stereotyping, not always but usually... or if they remember you and how you tip,, there is this one rude couple that never tips that comes in every tie and if i dont get to the door first like clockwork the other server put them on table 22,,( a boothe mostly out of the way where you dont have to walk by so they cant bother u while working,,,as servers we all have our favorite boothes t put people at,, there are many different reasons but very very commen to get the same seat repeatedly

  2. I guess it would be 1( in 2 times the number of tables in the place on your second trip and 1 in 3 times the number of tables in the place the third trip, etc. Right?

  3. That actually has happened to me before. I went to Perkins and was given a seat near the entrance, the next time they gave me the same time. Well it was in the morning when they wasn't so many people, and she just gave me the nearest seat to where we were standing. Well in your case, maybe people know u and are just messin wit u to think its scary and ironic.

  4. maybe a server wants you at their assn. table    or your a good tipper

or it's just a fluke thing?!?!
