  1. Not a good idea...

  2. Sure.

  3. No -- cancer is not the main cause of death among smokers, heart attacks are, and elderly people have a high rate of heart attacks.

  4. This is not a proven fact.  Also smoking stains your teeth, ur lung capicty is decreasd, and it makes u smell like a dirty ashtray.  It also is expensive.  I should reccomend just don't smoke EVER!!!!

  5. No, because cancer is not the only adverse effect of smoking - it messes up your blood pressure, lungs, you name it

  6. No, older people are more susceptible to disease than a younger smoker who has a stronger one.  It also may complicate other pre-exsisting conditions. ex:high blood preassure, breathing trouble

  7. Old people are not very resilient to cigarette smoke. If they start smoking at an old age, chances are they will probably get very sick since they haven't developed a tolerance to the smoke, unlike many seasoned smokers have.

  8. The 'average smoker' does NOT get lung cancer.  If you smoke for 20-30 years, you have one chance in 7 of getting it.

  9. We need to make it mandatory for old people to smoke.  That's the easiest way to save Social Security.

  10. People will say no, but I'm not one of them. At 80, smoking isn't going to make you any less immortal than not smoking will.

  11. yes...that logic is flawless

  12. oh you have a real concern here. ive been smoking since i was 8 and am now 50.i have no cancer or any problem with anything you all talk of.and was never rude with my little habit, smoking in restaurants ....
