I think that they both have their plus points,but I have to say I am a big fan of Thanet, I particularly enjoy going to Margate & Ramsgate,although Whitstable is lovely too.In fact we looked into relocating to margate from the medway towns but the commute would make for a long day for my husband, we do love it though & go for days out down there all the time - in all weathers!

I like Thanet, because my son goes to the fantastic deaf school in Margate!!!!!!
