  1. I gave one to each member of my wedding party and one to my husband's aunt (his mom is deceased). I would give one to your matron  (or maid) of honor the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom.

  2. I am giving away  these wonderful candy filled centerpieces called WANDERFULS , check out the website

  3. never heard of this i would do something on the bottom of the plate or whoever at the table has been most recently weded.

  4. Give away candles

  5. At my wedding three weeks ago, I put cards under the chairs which specified which item they get (the centrepiece or potted plant at each of the table) and then during the night, we announced to look under the chairs to see who gets the items. I had extra as well which I gave to my bridal party and my mother in law!! It worked well and people seemed to have fun looking to see who got the items!! Good luck and best wishes!

  6. What? Like HOW to offer them? Or who get's them?

  7. Perhaps give out raffle tickets at the door, and call them out through out the night.

  8. for my wedding, the DJ had someone at each table pick up a spoon, then he would play music and everyone would have to pass the spoon to the left over and over until the music stopped, then he would say stop now pass it to the right and he'd play music and everyone would keep passing to the right, then he would say now to the left again etc etc until finally he said stop and whoever had the spoon won the centerpiece.

  9. Maybe arrange with the venue to put a mark on the plate or placemat. Whoever gets that mark goes home with the centerpiece. Or play a game of whoever has been married longest, oldest guest, etc.

  10. Generally guests know that they are welcome to take the centerpieces.  Some even realize that they are actually doing the bride a favor by taking them away!!

To encourage guests to take them I would make sure the centerpiece is something they would really want to have.  When selecting a centerpiece style ask yourself "would this look good on my table at home or my desk at work?"  Simple elegant styles such as a votive of roses work well for this tactic.

Your other option to make the centerpieces enticing is to look for a particularly unique style.  You also might consider using your favors as the centerpiece, depending on the favor.  The bride and groom might set out several small fishbowls with really pretty fish to make a design down the center of the table which was rectangular instead of round.  Colored lights made the hugh of the water beautiful while adding some ambient lighting.
