I have noticed that the price of oil is over $140 a barrel and the price of gas at the pump has stayed at around $4 a gallon,at least here, since oil was at $120 barrel. NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING, But why did the gas pump prices stablize some what, while barrel prices kept going up. Have you noticed this?

  1. only part of price is cost of oil....price of shipping is abt same as is refining cost....plus the gas price takes a while to go up after crude goes up...oil is always moving from well to refinary to storage to station...gas u use today was pumped 3 /4 months ago...
