Gladiator Beast Gyzarus and Beastiari Vs Trap Cards?

When I special summon Gladiator Beast Gyzarus and my opponent has a Trap Card (any trap including bottomless) on the field does Gyzarus' effect destroy it before it can be activated or can he still activate it successfully? Same question applies for Beastiari.

although their effects do work if your opponent has bottomless trap hole then its effect works since it acts as the second link in a chain. therefore both effects work.

u get to choose 2 b4 ur opponent activates so gyzarus and bestiari get priority b4 your opponents bottomless etc

Bottomless Trap Hole would still activate a destoy your cards but they would still get there effect so they could still destroy a spell or trap. If you select the Face down Bottomless trap hole as your card to destroy then your opponent can chain it to your effect and your monster still dies.
