If a monster like irou were to attack a face down gladiator card.Is the replacing effect still activated?

  2. no it would be destroyed unless u prevented that.

  3. if the gladiator was not destroyed in battle, its effect can still activate. if the gladiator was destroyed in battle, its effect won't activate
