Glamorgan extend their lead to 181 over Surrey

The visitors have an overall lead of 181 runs with 10 wickets remaining in their second innings. They ended day-three of the match at 46 for no loss on Thursday, May 26, 2011.

The South African opener had been struggling to get runs with consistency in the County Championship matches and was under immense pressure. This was his first season as a captain of Glamorgan and got off to a good start, scoring some runs, but lost his
touch afterwards.
However, Petersen expressed a lot of mental toughness and character in this match, scoring a fabulous double-ton for his team. He finished with 210 runs off 352 balls with the help of 24 fours and one six.
