Glamorgan v http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Northamptonshire-c824 - Friends Life T20 – Midlands/Wales/West Group - Glamorgan amass 110 – Live Score and Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Glamorgan-c784 110/9 (20/20 ov) – Northamptonshire won the toss and chose to field
In the second Friends Life T20 match of the day, Glamorgan on Saturday, after being put into bat by Northamptonshire jabbed a knock of 110 runs, as they suffered a batting collapse in the lower-order preventing them from amassing a bigger total, at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-North-c1982 came out to bat for Glamorgan, and the two knew that their aim should be to post a massive partnership to make things a bit easier for their upcoming batsmen.
However, that plan remained a dream as with only ten runs on the board, they lost their first wicket on the demise of North, who had his stumps obliterated by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJ-Willey-c54257 after scoring only a run.
It was then time for skipper, J Allenby, to put on his pads and get in the middle to provide http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362 with some potent partnership.
The two looked well together, but before they could pose a meaningful partnership, the skipper perished in the sixth over on the delivery bowled by LM Daggett, after he had smashed 20 runs off just 15 deliveries. At the time of this wicket, the side had jabbed only 37 runs on the board.
Marsh and M van Jaarsveld then took the score to 51 runs, before the side suffered the loss of their third wicket, when Marsh was caught by White off de Lange, after hammering an innings of 16 runs off 20 balls.
M van Jaarsveld and SJ Walters looked intimidating, but with 60 runs on the scoreboard, this partnership also crumbled, as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Graham-Robert-Cowdrey-c60631 Jaarsveld fell after scoring 13 runs.
CD de Lange and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jamie-Dalrymple-c1658 Middlebrook unleashed total chaos as they left the batting side in ruins by nabbing wickets and annihilating Glamorgan’s remaining batsmen.
With the carnage of fallen batsmen all around him, SJ Walters, kept his own and smacked the bowlers whenever an opportunity came his way.
However, he needed support from someone at the other end, which was a rare probability as Northamptonshire bowlers were playing magnificently, denying the batsmen to play on their own terms.
Walters stayed unbeaten on 34 runs as the side completed their 20 overs.
