Question:

Glamour Spells!?

Hello to all...

While I was researching some stuff the other day, I came across something that I found a bit interesting. 'Glamour Spells', one particular one was a spell to change your eye colour. I mean, is it possible to change an aspect of your physical self so drastically? does this really work!? (no, I'm not going to try it. I like my eye colour, thank you very much.)

I am just really curious. Yes, I do practice Magick. No, I am not a 'fluffy bunny'. I just want someone's opinion on this.

  1. that seems really cool i wonder if it works

    whats a pentical?

  2. Such glamour spells do not work in the way many think - for instance - if you were to do a change of eye color spell, others will temporarily see your eyes a different color (you will most likely see them the same as they are naturally) - the more effective the spell you cast, the longer and stronger that temporary time period will last.

IMHO, these types of glamour spells are a waste of your energy and time.  If I want a little glamour, I go to my local CVS and pick up some readily available products.

  3. yes not permanently. there are special contact lenses you can put on and it wont effect your vision!!!

  4. The Glamourie comes from within, just practise it.

Of course it can't change your body's pigments.

Practice, practice, practice is what it takes.

And only use it for good!

  5. i want to try this and make my eyes grean or blue?!

do you think it would work anyone?

  6. I've used Glamour Magick before, never to change my eye color, but I found it creates more of an illusion for the people who are around you who look at you.

You have to really believe it yourself.

  7. 'Glamour' in the sense you are talking about, is closer to illusion spells. Its called glamour because you make someone see something about yourself, or in the environment around them, that isn't really true.

You also have to understand the context of many spells. There wasn't a Wal-Mart back in the day, so if you wanted to 'change' the color of your eyes, for whatever reason, you used your energy, via the spell, to change the wavelength of light that was being reflected in your eye. It didn't change the color of the eye itself but it changed the color that people perceived. Of course, once you stopped using the spell, your eye color would be seen normally.

Nowadays its simply easier to get colored-contacts: you don't have to worry about maintaining the illusion, and draining your energy, because the contact does it for you. And you can get them in a wide variety of colors, like purple, which is a completely unnatural human color, so far as I know.

  8. I don't know many people who believe in spells that physically change your appearance (and even the eye color spell, when you find the complete version, warns it's only an illusion), but many people believe in glamour spells that change the *perception* of your appearance by others. One famous formula for this that I know of is called Look Me Over, for attracting favorable attention.

  9. If you changed your eye color, would you be able to change it back?

  10. There's a lot more to eyes than just the color.  The trite saying "The eyes are the window to the soul" does have some validity to it.

So ... I see the glamour spell not so much as changing your eye color but more of a changing the message others see within your eyes.  Start with a color, add life and potential, and you end up with a new appearance.

  11. Changing of eye color isn't really drastic.I have heard of people trying this, but eye colors naturally change, and the lighting of an area can effect it as well.My friend tried it not too long ago.Her eyes are noramlly a lightish green, when she did it they sort of looked brown, but you couldn't really tell.
