Glanmire Phanter likely to be dominant in Williamhill.com Festival Flyer Final at Sunderland
Many high status hounds are geared up to fancy their chances in Thursday’s Williamhill.com Festival Flyer Final, but Glanmire Phanter was so impressive last weekend that the punters at Sunderland should not be reluctant to place maximum number of bets on
him.
M. Daniels’ charge dominated the affair all the way through, bagging the first prize by one and a half lengths. He took a decent lead at the first bend, and did not face any trouble in retaining his advantage till the winning post.
Following a tremendous effort, he covered the distance of 261 metres in only 15.44 seconds – the fastest time by any hound in the opening round of the championship.
Despite the fact that Killahan Phanter’s son is not a regular winner at this level, it is very hard to ignore his class after a brilliant first-round success. He will easily be able to notch up the top rank, if he manages to do an equally good job.
Among the rivals are: Fernhill Jess, Minglers Jaguar, Mill Bullseye, Skane Meadows and Yah Muppet. The £3000 is scheduled to begin at 20:45 (GMT).
Yah Muppet was runner-up in the first round of the Festival Flyer. He got crowded early on and as a result, missed the gold medal by a couple of lengths.
Mill Bullseye did well to secure a close win last time around. His early pace helped him to put the opposition under severe pressure, and he nabbed the top rank by half a length. However, his performance was not as impressive as Glanmire Phanter, as he took
15.60 seconds to wrap up the proceedings.
Minglers Jaguar also took 15.60 seconds to reach the winning post last time. Although it was his debut appearance at Sunderland, the white and black dog did a fine job to win the race quite easily.
Fernhill Jess’ confidence would be at a low after finishing second despite having every chance of winning. Similar is the case with Skane Meadows, who was outsmarted by Glanmire Phanter last weekend.
According to our calculations, Glanmire Phanter is in very good position to bag the big prize. Minglers Jaguar might make things a bit messy for him. Good luck to all the runners.
