  1. The bounce flash trick off of another object sounds like the best and easiest solution; otherwise ambient light at a slow shutter on a monopod or tripod.  Try bringing with you a reflective agent instead of a flash ie foam core, or a reflector.

  2. It's easier to prevent than fix.  Don't wear your glasses for flash photos.  Or turn your head ever so slightly so that you're not facing directly at the camera.  Then the glare will just be on an edge or on the frame (easier to remove in photoshop).  If the photographer is using the kind of flash that has a tiltable head, have them bounce the flash off a ceiling.  Or stay out of flash photos.  Natural light is much more flattering!

  3. What Terisu said.

And, if you're forced into a situation with a small camera and no options, at least do this:  tilt your chin down slightly, and point your face slightly to left or right.

It doesn't eliminate the problem, but it helps.

  4. Photoshop may be able to, not sure. But if you turn the flash on your camera off and use a different light source angled in a way that wont reflect back to the camera will do away with glare.
