Glasgow Junior U19 2013: Ben Torrance tames Sean Leith to wrap up Boy’s Singles U19 title
Scotland’s talented player Ben Torrance proved his supremacy in the arena as he played remarkable badminton and won the Boy’s Singles U19 title after beating Sean Leith in the final of Glasgow Junior U19 2013 on Sunday, February 10, in Glasgow.
The lofty Torrance, who was the top seeded player in Boy’s Singles main draw of the tournament, played with staggering speed and precision in the final encounter and he easily sent Leith packing without facing any considerable trouble.
Torrance continued his winning run in the tournament and maintained his upper hand in the final battle. He did not let his challenger to put up strong resistance at any stage and eventually won the match with a smashing 21-13 and 21-15 score on the board.
On the other hand, the third seeded Leith tried to continue his giant killing performance in the final battle but failed to shake the confidence of his challenger as he failed to play dominating badminton and lost the match without grabbing any set.
The unmatched speed and attacking shots of Torrance helped him to take control of the pace from the starting rallies of first set.
The speed of the rallies was quite fast in first set and Torrance entertained local crowd with his unmatched craft.
Until the end of starting half of starting set, the in-form Torrance attained a strong position on board by establishing a reasonable lead.

The aggressive and positive play in the concluding part of second set assisted Torrance to earn the set with a spectacular 21-15 total on the board.
